Our trip to Southeast Asia

My husband and I recently traveled with some friends to Southeast Asia. We visited a few different cities and had the pleasure of being introduced to some of the most extraordinary people, cultures, food, scenery and music.

Busy city. There are about as many motorbikes as there are cars.

These colorful fruits, which are about the size of a golf ball, twist open to reveal a sweet, white fruit that tastes like a grape.

Stunning beaches.

Chefs waiting around to fill tank-to-table orders. As I took this photo, just behind me are hundreds of tanks full of live seafood, including many creatures I had no hope of being able to identify.

One of the main exports there was palm oil. There are thousands of acres of dark green palm forests all over SE Asia.

Petronas Towers, which is the tallest set of twin towers in the world.

And there were monkeys!

In this very modest culture, it isn't appropriate for unmarried men and women to touch. So, just as a subtle reminder to this fact, park benches have 2-inch-high cement wall guards in the middle of each bench.

Oh, and those motorbikes? Yeah, they're rarely used as a one-person vehicle.

Ice on the plane windows on the way home. By the way, although it LOOKS lovely, this was the second sunrise we saw on this same flight. Ugh.

These were just some of my favorites. To see more, come say hello on Facebook.
