Anthony & Cristen | Engagement Session

This wonderful engagement session with Anthony and Cristen stands out to me from many of my other engagement sessions... I'm still sorting out how it got this dreamy, whispy feeling to many of the shots but I do know that this couple is truly delightful to be around. They're getting married this November (yay! i love Fall weddings!).

Cristen suggested doing their session at the St. Marks Lighthouse, just south of Tallahassee. Such a good idea; the scenery is fantastic. If you haven't been, you should go. Funny thing, though... right around this time of day at the lighthouse thousands upon thousands of little black flying bugs descend on the area. The photo below is one of the small handful in which neither Anthony nor Cristen

a) is swatting at a huge bug in self defense,

b) is making a disgusted face or

c) actually has a bug on one of their faces.

These are tough odds to work with. Thankfully, we did get some great keepers eventually, even as I'm screaming over the buzzing, "Okay! SMILE! KISS! Look HAPPY!" ...You guys are great.

Forgive me guys, but you were SUCH good sports about the whole bug thing that I can't help but share some of the outtakes...

Now do these two deserve a round of applause or what?! You both are awesome (and having to keep huffing like a horse to keep the bugs out of my nose while shooting was totally and completely worth it). :)
